Center of Excellence- Bariatric Surgery: The NIX Weight Loss Surgery Center and the doctors of the program hold the Center of Excellence designation by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. OptumHealth Bariatric Center of Excellence: In order to provide the highest quality of care to their bariatric patients, OptumHealth developed the OptumHealth Bariatric Center of Excellence. They require participating facilities to prove sound quality measures, low complication rates and favorable surgical outcomes over the past 12 months. Because the NIX Weight Loss Surgery Center's surgical outcome results exceeded the requirements set forth by OptumHealth, the NIX Weight Loss Surgery Center has been included in their Center of Excellence Network.

CIGNA- Designated Facility for Bariatric Surgery: In an effort to provide a more comprehensive obesity program to their customers, CIGNA initiated the CIGNA Designated Facility for Bariatric Surgery. In order to qualify for this designation, the facility must demonstrate bariatric surgery outcomes that meet or exceed the required quality measures set forth by CIGNA. Because the NIX Weight Loss Surgery program exceeded those requirements, we have been included as a designated facility. This distinction only includes bariatric surgery facilities with a proven track record of outstanding surgical outcomes and we are proud to be included in this network.
